I will warn you now…if you have a sweet tooth…you might just fall in love with this recipe!! I will admit I had a hard time sharing this after we made it!
This was such a fun, easy way to have the kids help out in the kitchen and the recipe is great for a special snack, for Easter dinner dessert or to take in to your child’s classroom if they have an Easter party!

We made this snack in about 10-15 minutes and my boys LOVED making it! I think they were most excited because it was new and they actually really loved the Chex cereal on it’s own…so to add sprinkles and sugar to it??! Whoa!
Here’s what you’ll need:
(image missing)
- 4 c. Chex cereal
- 1/4 c. butter/margarine
- 3 Tbsp of cream (we used the French Vanilla by International Delight to add some vanilla flavour it was delicious!!)
- 10 oz. white chocolate chips or candy melts
- 2/3 c. sprinkles
- 3/4 – 1 c. of powdered sugar depending on how much you like it coated
Directions:
In a saucepan over low heat, melt the cream, butter and white chocolate chips. Stir constantly until there are no lumps and the mixture is thick. Remove from heat.
Pour cereal into a large bowl and pour the warm white chocolate mixture over the cereal.
Stir it very gently so you don’t break the cereal. Wait about 3-4 minutes (we might have sampled the mixture while we were waiting ) and then add sprinkles.
Pour the white sugar powder over top and stir very carefully.
Throw out the extra sugar and pour it into a nice bowl and serve!
NOTE: The bunny food mixture is VERY crunchy on the first day and by the second day it loses it’s crunch. If you prefer your bunny food to keep it’s crunchy texture, then leave out the butter.
Enjoy your bunny food…and please try and share it with the kids
