It’s Spring Time!
Well, I’d like to think that spring has finally sprung. Buds are on the trees, the grass is beginning to show signs of green, and calves are being born on the farms around where I live. With spring comes the season of Easter.
As you begin to think about Easter, and what the “Easter Bunny” will be leaving for your precious little ones, I wanted to drop the idea of creating them a STEM/STEAM challenge basket. Inside this basket are all the materials to allow their imaginations and creativity take over. When presented with just blank materials, you never know what children will create, and what they will be able to use it for.
Here are some ideas of what to include inside a STEM/STEAM Easter Basket just to get you started:
Popsicle sticks
Play-Doh or clay
Washi tape
Paper
Toothpicks
Magnifying glass
Beads
Glue sticks or white glue
Pipe cleaners
Rulers
Pencils
Water colour paints
Crayons or pencil crayons or markers
Classic LEGO bricks (not a kit with instructions)
Engineering toys such as picasso magnetic tiles, building blocks, gears, etc.
