Yep! When placing your subscription or single box order you can send a gift email to the recipient to let them know that their gift is on the way!! Make sure you select “This is a gift,” and enter the recipients email when you are checking out. The email will include your name & email and the details of the items you have ordered.
For single box orders you can include a personalized message inside the box! One of our team members will hand write your heartfelt note making your gift extra special!
There is a limit of only one coupon code per order. However, if an item is marked down on the website, one coupon code is still eligible to be applied. Some restrictions apply.
Sure! We have so many subscription options! In addition to our monthly deliveries, we also offer bi-monthly and quarterly subscription deliveries. It’s easy to get what you want, when you want it.
Visit our join monthly page, select your child’s age group, and how often you want to receive a box. Then pick your payment frequency. You can choose a monthly pay as you go option or select from one of our prepaid options to save!
Currently, this function is not available on the checkout page. However, please reach out to us Here, our customer service team will happily help you in updating the first shipment to your address on your behalf.
Alternatively, you can purchase a single box and a subscription. Shipping the single box to your address and the subscription to the recipient’s address. Please refer to the following FAQ for instructions on how to ship a subscription and single boxes to multiple addresses.
Of course! A Curiosity Box is a great way to give a gift of curiosity and creativity! We have several gifting options that will bring joy to any special occasion.
- Place an order for a Curiosity Box subscription. When you place your order you can send a gift email to the recipient (Parents Email) to let them know their gift is on the way! Make sure you select “This is a gift” when you are checking out.
- Send your recipient a digital gift card, include a personalized gift message and we will deliver it right to their inbox!
- Keep it classic and send a gift certificates by snail mail! Add a special note to make it extra special!
- Order a single box and add a classic gift certificate (denomination of our choice). You pick the single box and your recipients choose the rest. They can use it towards subscription or single box, whatever their heart desires!!
While you cannot personalize the subscription boxes with the recipient’s name at this time. You can personalize your single box order! Choose a single box, include a personalized gift message when checking out. Our team will hand write your personal note, including both the receiver and sender’s name.
Yes, you can now sign up for a subscription and select from three start date options. After you have selected your subscription and plan type. You can then select your start date from the drop down menu. If you are placing your order between the 1st and 8th of the month you will be able to select from the current month and the following 2 consecutive months. If you are placing your order after the 8th of the month, your options will be the proceeding next 3 months.
If you have already placed your order and require a future subscription start date, you can update it by:
- Placing your subscription on hold through your “My account” page, this will stop all deliveries. Once you wish to resume your subscription, follow up your account to remove the hold and begin shipping your monthly boxes.
If you require a future start date that is not listed in the drop down menu or it is not solved by the hold feature, please reach out to our customer service team Here, they will be happy to help.
Currently, at this time you cannot independently update your first package to ship to yourself in order to personally gift it. Then all the future shipments are shipped to the recipient’s address. However, if you reach out to us directly, we can manually make this change for you. Please reach out to us Here, to complete this request.
When spinning the wheel there are some usage restrictions associated with the winning discount codes. Any discount won can only be applied to purchases of 50$ or more. If your order meets the minimum purchase amount and your discount code is still not applying, please reach out to our customer service team, who will be happy to help.
Yes, you certainly can! You can place one order with multiple subscriptions or single boxes going to multiple addresses. Here is how! Once you have selected the items you wish to purchase, proceed to the checkout page. At the top of the page, click the ”Ship to multiple addresses” banner. Here you can manage your multiple shipping addresses.
Add all of the addresses you would like boxes to ship, by clicking “add new address.” Once you have loaded your multiple addresses, scroll down to review your order. Select your chosen address for the corresponding products. Save your selection and review your order.
We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
Yes, sales taxes for your order will be calculated based on the shipping address at checkout.
If your child has celebrated a birthday and has outgrown their current age category, currently the only way to update your subscription to a new age category is to place a new order.
First, log into your account through the “My account” page. Select “My Subscriptions” on the dashboard. Find the subscription that you would like to update. Turn off the auto renew on the selected subscription. Once complete, navigate to the join monthly page to place a new order. Here you will select the new age group, box and payment frequency, place in the cart and complete order details in the checkout.
To update the frequency in which you receive boxes, you would have to log into your account. Select “my subscriptions” from the dashboard. Find the subscription you would like to update, select change your plan, located under the product name. Scroll down to the order form, from the frequency of boxes drop down menu, select your desired box frequency; monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly. Click switch subscription. This will cancel your current subscription and activate a new subscription with the new box frequency.
You can update your shipping or billing address by logging onto your My account page. Once logged in, click on “Addresses.” Here you can edit your billing address and shipping address. If you are updating the shipping address, and require all future shipments to ship to the new address, don’t forget to check off “ update the shipping address for all future renewals orders for my active subscriptions.”
Special note, the shipping address must be updated 8 days before the next shipment. Shipments leave our warehouse the week of the 15th each month. If you made an error when entering your shipping address that you just placed, you can update it right away from the My account page and your first box shipment will go to the correct address.
We are sad to see you go! But if you must, here is how. Log into your account online, select the subscription you would like to turn off the auto renew and and select cancel from the actions.
You can cancel/turn off your auto renew of a monthly subscription at any time after your first Curiosity Box ships. However, please cancel/turn off the auto renew prior to the 8th of the month if you do not wish to receive the next month’s box.
Going away for the summer? Or have you been busy and accumulated some boxes? You can put your subscription on hold. Log onto your “My account” page, once logged in click on “My subscription” and under actions, select hold. If you have more than one subscription and wish to only hold a specific subscription. Make sure you manage them independently. If you complete this on or before the 8th of the month, this will ensure the current month’s shipment does not ship. If you place your subscription on hold after the 8th of the month. You will receive the current month’s box. However, the following month you will not receive a box.
If you are ordered a renewing subscription but would like it to stop after the 3, 6 or 12 month term, you can turn off your auto-renew. Complete this by logging onto your “My account” page. Once logged in, click on “My subscription.” Select turn off automatic renewal.
Login into your account page, many adjustments such as changes to your payment method, shipping/billing address and recipient’s name can be managed through the account page. If you are still unable. One of our customer service team members will be happy to assist you. Please reach out to us Here.
If you turned off your auto renew (cancel) your monthly subscription after the 8th of the month, you would still receive a box for that current month. However, if you turn off your auto renew on or before the 8th of the month, you will not receive a box for that current month.
Additionally, if you turn off the auto renew from your prepaid plan before you have received all of your prepaid boxes, you would receive boxes until all of the boxes have been delivered.
Your credit card will be processed as soon as you sign up for your first subscription delivery. After that, your billing date will reoccur on the same date as your order, but reflective of your chosen plan type. For example, if you place an order on Oct 13th for a monthly delivery and prepay for 3 boxes. Your next payment would process Jan 13th (3 months later). Your recurring billing date is also outlined at checkout, however if you are unsure of your billing date, please reach out to us Here.
While our website, subscription products and all included materials are in English. We do offer a selection of single boxes in the french language. Please visit our store to see our up to date selection. These are great for kids enrolled in french immersion programs, to continue the french language skill building at home.
No you cannot pick the theme of your subscription boxes. But, did you know our monthly subscription boxes never repeat!? Unlike some of our competitors, kids get fun new themes every single month. Whether your child is a subscriber for 3 months or 3 years they will unbox a surprise with every single delivery!
Our subscription and single boxes are designed for one child, however many of our families happily share one subscription! This is also a great option if you’re sending a gift to a family. While none of the items are duplicated, and the number of crafts & activities vary per box. Typically each box includes 2-3 craft kits, 1 book, 1 activity and/or game, 1 worksheet, 1 STEM activity and an assortment of novelties & themed tinker toys. Kids and parents are encouraged to work together, share and have fun!

Our subscription offers several delivery options. Choose to receive a box monthly, bi-monthly or seasonally. Choose to pay as you go or from one of our prepaid plans. Did we mention? We have something for everyone! While we focus on three main age categories, preschoolers ages 2-4, kids 5-7, and older kids aged 8+. Oh no! We are sorry! Reach out to the carrier directly, they will complete an internal investigation. All subscription orders received on or before the 8th of each month will ship out the week of 15th of that same month. Orders received after the 8th will automatically ship out the following month the week of the 15th. You will receive a tracking email once your order has shipped.
Yes, we ship subscriptions going to the same address together. Please note that while multiple subscriptions will arrive in the same box, each of the subscriptions will be packaged and labeled accordingly.

Your single box order will be shipped out within 5-7 business days of receiving your order. Expect a 1-2 week total delivery period (from order date) depending on your geographic location and frequency of local mail delivery service. Orders ship from Southwestern Ontario on a daily basis.
You can find your tracking information for your shipment by logging into My Account. Once your order ships, we will also send you a shipping notification email with the tracking information. We truly believe we provide the best possible help and assist through email communication. There are several reasons that we support our customers online. It’s faster. We can quickly get to the bottom of your questions without putting you on hold. It’s more efficient. We don’t have to play phone tag, tracking each other down to resolve an issue. Our customer support keeps detailed records in one place. This ensures nothing gets lost and these records can be used to escalate your issue. We’ll always have access to previous tickets so you won’t have to repeat questions or your history with us.
Our internal customer service team works diligently to respond to all customer inquiries within 1 to 2 business days.
For prepaid plans, please reach out to us, if you contact us within 30 days of the renewal date, we can reverse the renewal charge, less the value of the first month’s shipment (If shipped).
We do have a 30 day cancellation policy in place. If you contact us after 30 days from your renewal charge, all sales are final. However, we can turn off the auto renew for the following renewal date. This would mean you would finish out the remainder of the subscription term and no further charges would be processed on your card.
For both prepaid plans and monthly plans, you can turn your auto renew off by logging onto your My account page. Once logged in, click on “My subscription.” Select turn off automatic renewal.

Yes! We offer fundraising! Any nonprofit organization throughout North America (Some restrictions apply) can benefit from a Curiosity box fundraiser.
